KATANA BROS® combines original rock music with visual storytelling inspired by the legacy of Japanese video game soundtracks.
Character Design

The characters of KATANA BROS are designed to embody individuality, emotion, and artistic expression.
Costume Design

The outfits worn by the Katana brothers are original stage costumes inspired by vintage naval and sailor aesthetics.
They are not real military uniforms, but performance attire designed to reflect the characters’ identities and artistic expression.
Within the story, Aoi often modifies and reimagines the costumes himself, turning them into a symbol of individuality and creativity on stage.
Episode Structure

KATANA BROS unfolds through an episodic format where music and storytelling intersect.
Each track stands on its own while also forming part of a larger narrative that reflects the characters’ emotions and evolution.
Episodes 1 through 4 are presented as a core story arc, establishing the central narrative of the project.
Beyond this arc, subsequent episodes explore individual worlds of each track or develop into themed series, expanding the project in diverse directions.
Through music, the story and the world of KATANA BROS continue to evolve.
New sounds and stories may also emerge in unexpected ways.
Performance Representation

In KATANA BROS, musical performance and visual animation are not always synchronized in a literal sense.
Rather than strictly replicating every physical motion of playing an instrument, the visuals are designed to express the energy, emotion, and atmosphere of the music.
